HAPPY HOUR

The Clown Me In team took Sami and Rosa, our beloved puppets, to the streets of Beirut. They spent twenty days walking the streets and interacting with passerby, asking people about their wishes for their city after the port blast.

From that research, a street show was born, involving four actors, five musicians and a dancer. The show was performed four times in April 2024, in Mar Mkhayel, Bourj Hammoud and Gemmayze. It was composed of five scenes performed in public spaces and in-between the scenes, the audience was invited to follow the actors, a belly dancer, a Zaffeh group of four, and an accordionist.

Along the way, everyone danced, interacted with passersby, entered shops, and invited people to join the performance, creating a joyful procession that filled the city streets.
